It was a high profile match and it lived up to expectation. The draw wasn't really bad for both clubs. I'm just happy with the way the match ended, because that was exactly what I predicted before the match started. Bayer Leverkusen played the way an away team should play against a team like Bayern Munich.They were playing Bayern Munich and you don't expect them to come out fully and be playing with full attacking as Bayern Munich. If they had done that Bayern Munich would have won them. Bayern is a free scoring side and they would have scored more goals if Leverkusen didn't adopt the defensive approach that they did in that match. Leverkusen are satisfied with the outcome of the match.
I watched the match, Munich's ambition to get 3 points was very visible, they pressed Leverkusen in the early minutes so that they were less comfortable in controlling the ball, Alonso's squad was indeed under pressure but they still showed that it would not be easy to beat them, the defense that was built so solid and the tight attack built by Kompany's troops were unable to penetrate it, this draw is certainly fair for both teams who showed good performance in the match, I am increasingly convinced that the competition in the Bundesliga this season will be even tighter.
