Bayern Munich's draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen yesterday in my own opinion simply means that Bayer Leverkusen have all it takes to challenge the current league leaders for the league title till the very last match day of the league however, the result I don't think will stop Bayern Munich from dominating the league this season.
After Bayern Munich started the season on a very impressive fashion by beating teams with high goal margins, many had thought that the current reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen will not match their strength when they meet each but getting a point away from Allianz Arena is a strong indication that Bayer Leverkusen can still defend the league title this season. There's more to play by both teams but for now, I'm still backing Bayern Munich to clinch the title at the end of the season
Bayern Munich looked very dominant when they beat their previous opponents by a large margin, but against Leverkusen, they failed to score more than one goal. Xabi Alonso managed to implement a more offensive strategy, which did not give Kane and his colleagues too much space to be explored.
With Bayern Munich ready to win back the trophy, and Leverkusen wanting to retain the trophy, the draw has raised the prestige of the Bundesliga to be more competitive. The competition will be more interesting if Dormund, Stuttgart and Leipzig are directly involved in the future. Eintracht Frankfurt, who are currently in second place in the standings, tried to provide temporary disruption, but they cannot be underestimated either.
Kompany managed to pass a tough test, and Xabi Alonso was still able to refuse to lose at the Allianz Arena. Next, both managers will shift their focus to preparing their teams for another challenge in the Champions League.
