I totally agree with your analysis, I remember at the initial stage when Ten hag started having issues with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, which even lead yo his exit. From the reality of things I think Ten hag has issues in managing players with high profile, today Jordan Sancho is doing well with Chelsea, Ronaldo is still banging goals in Saudi, this where players Manchester united once had in their squared. I feel Ole was a better coach to Ten hag, I haven't really seen much magically formations that are well sustaining with him so far he has been managing this team, rather Manchester United is drifting towards a mediocre club day by day.

Cristiano Ronaldo is an experienced player with high profile and loves to do things his own way without being bossed around by anyone, and this enables him to utilize his full potential, while Eric Ten Hag is a great Coach who loves to lead and always want the team to follow his instructions, and this also keeps him top in his game. Having these two personalities on the same team would be pretty difficult and almost impossible for them to work together, and that’s why he had to let Ronaldo go, even with all his potentials. When Ten Hag first arrived at Old Trafford, he blended well with the team and that’s why their performance was at its peak.
