Maybe that was just a test before they fully running automation to give the reward as before.
I am not sure of this. It's not the first time they stopped giving WOF spins after crediting some.
I just checked my WOF spins history.
They stopped giving WOF spins on July 26, credited once on August 11 and then from August 16 to August 18. They also credited the WOF spins on September 2 and then from September 25 to September 30.
