The real challenge for Kompany will come soon when Leverkusen and other teams understand the strategy Kompany uses in Bayern Munich which can make Xabi Alonso understand the weaknesses and the way they can win against Kompany and his partner. However, so far Kompany had an epic performance in the Bundesliga but I don't think if this will continue for a long time regardless of the players and potential they have in Bayern Munich. In my own idea still, Leverkusen can have a much better chance than Bayern Munich.
