I am curious about this too. the only way I can think of as to why they suddenly changed their license is to avoid the case that you submitted to GEC, but then again, I am just speculating, perhaps ask someone who have knowledge(a lawyer) about it, if I remember correctly, Reddit has a subforum called "r/asklawyers" perhaps post this question there.
