In any case, the Great Pyramids of Giza are the only functional world wonder of the seven ancient world wonders... Besides them you can see also the remaining of the Colossus of Rhodos -- been there as well... But only the legs are what remained from that colossal statue, guarding the entrance of Rhodos Port. And those legs are insanely high... can't imagine how the entire statue looked while it existed...
When you mentioned Africa I was thinking in something like safaris, Ngorongoro and places like that, but a destination like Egypt made more sense now in hindsight.
Oh well, actually I was in a safari! In the Egyptian Desert (so not in Sahara)... I forgot to mention this part
I rode ATVs then during same safari day I visited a Bedouin village from the desert... where I also rode a camel <3
