There is a chance that the nature of the game has something to do with the gender that plays in that game most. There is no official study for this yet, but I am thinking that we will find more females playing and drawn to luck-based games than skill-based games because of how difficult the process of learning skill-based games may be.
...
What do you think?

Itself, the population which partakes in gambling and betting is already dominated by men, so carrying out a study on what draws women to gamble or bet would start by an estimation on the percentage of women who actually feel attracted to luck-based games instead of skill-based ones.
Though, I don't have any study on hand for me to prove it, but I agree with you, it would be easier to find a woman enjoying her afternoon playing slots instead finding one playing billiar pool in a bar or restaurant.
In general, the social views people have on women are not co partible with them partaking much in gambling, in my opinion, but since they do not have much time to develop skills to play skill-based games, if they are attracted to slots, dices or Plinko, they will go for it as a form of entertainment.
Women are not real gamblers maybe few may be considered buy the percentage will be too minute to the males. The luck based games are mostly games if chance like using probability to actually know what could be the outcome of a bet. This could look like a strategy but it's never something to rely on. I would prefer going for a skill based games if I know I am good at such game. Although their might be other gamblers that are better but I think it's good to play games with other people that are also skilled to learn more skills without feeling like a pro when playing bet with others that are newbies. Luck is all based on time and pattern to attract winning bets.
