The ignore button under a user's profile in a post shouldn't be removed, however, it can be added to the profile page of a user additionally, maybe under "Trust" or somewhere else on the page.

The problem you are facing doesn't need the button to be removed, a better solution I can think of is to have a pop-up asking for confirmation before you can put a user on ignore only to make sure that you are doing it willingly or it has been triggered by mistake. This way, if someone clicks that button by mistake, it won't put the user on ignore directly but it will ask for your consent first, and it will only happen if you confirm it.

I will start a thread and suggest thing change to @PowerGlove and see if he thinks it's something he would be willing to implement or not.
