Some people study bitcoin for their own purposes other than investing, perhaps they are just interested in the innovation or other advantages that bitcoin offers. We know that not everyone invests in bitcoin, while some people buy bitcoin only to use it as a means of payment. The anonymity of bitcoin is desired by those who like privacy, even with low transaction fees you can send money to various countries just from your fingers.
This sounds like they are some kind of a scientist but there should be a suitable term for it since this is not science right? They can also be like a collector. Both types of people study the thing that they have an interest with. Maybe they do this for their own sake first but there are still other people that can gain a benefit with it. Not everyone invest in Bitcoin but some in altcoin, or outside of cryptos too. Bitcoin is not all despite some of us praise it too much.
If about using a Bitcoin other than an investment tool, I think only a few are like this now because a lot are tempted on the gains that Bitcoin is making if they only HODL their Bitcoins. So, I salute and respect those people who stay like that. Apart from a support, they also gain a benefit with it, so it is not like they are only being forced of doing that. Bitcoin is not that anonymous, though there are still a bitcoin mixer to solve this issue. There are still a better privacy-focused cryptos out there though that we can try if that is mostly the thing that we like. Not to mention that their fees are also much cheaper than in Bitcoin. Speaking of fees, fees must be the other reason apart from its price on why some can say that Bitcoin is expensive.
