FYI I just received an email from stake, which makes it no longer a KYC Free Casino:
By the 1st of January 2025, we will require you to submit level 2 verification in order for you to continue enjoying Stake.com
When the heck was Stake KYC free to begin with? They have been enforcing mandatory KYC during deposits for quite sometime now which is why I am not really surprised by mandatory level 2 verification going forward.
I miss the days when they were completely KYC free which was a long, long time ago based on what I remember.
I haven't played seriously at Stake casino, the last ones are these free tournaments and a couple of tournaments after that. They never looked it up for me. I see in their ANN thread that some bonuses only go to those who have passed the second level of KYC, there is also some time period when players can participate in it.
Anyway, I agree with Notblox & Efi, many casinos are going that way... KYC will be mandatory in most crypto casinos eventually. But as Notblox wrote, I also think that some crypto casinos will resist and stay open for all without mandatory KYC.
As always, time will tell... so we will see what will happen with crypto casinos in the future regarding this KYC stuff.
