Mbappe actually isn't doing bad at Madrid and has always been a good player which he still is currently, the conflicting role in position between him and Vinicius is one thing I'm hoping soon Ancelotti is able to fix so both players can effectively give their very best playing at the right position, one way i believe would be best to get this ending almost soon would be looking for the most flexible one amongst them both and make sure to see if that person can switch role and in the absence of the other they can later augment at that point, it doesn't have to be that they will both be playing in same position same time.
I agree that if Mbappe does not play badly in Madrid, we realize that the player was slow to heat up in his first season. In my opinion, Ancelotti will continue to prioritize Mbappe role as a center forward, over time Mbappe will be able to adapt to other attacking players, especially with Vinicius. Ancelotti is very experienced in managing star players, he will certainly find a solution to this problem. If I'm not mistaken, Ancelotti has only played a complete formation with Vinicius, Mbappe, Rodrygo and Bellingham in one lineup once. So of course we can understand if Mbappe has not fully found his best performance.
He just hasn't gotten used to the position usually he has always been placed as a left winger for years and he has always been reliable but now he has to be able to adapt as a center forward indeed this is not his expertise but I am sure over time he will get used to the formation currently many people underestimate Mbappe's abilities but those who underestimate do not know how difficult it is to adapt to a squad that is almost balanced and is in a big club while Mbappe is used to France with less competitive competition he is the best player in France but in Spain there are many good players so he has equal competitors which will test his performance.
