Any gambler, quitting gamble because he is not making profit has done the best thing for himself because when you are not enjoying the fun when gambling, you need to stop gambling, otherwise you will run at consecutive losses because you are gambling for fun at not for pleasure and entertainment.
Going on break is the best so that you can rethink over your life if really gambling is important in your life. Like what the OP said that he is not making profit when he is active in gambling but make profit when he gambles occasionally, I think he should stick to gambling once in a while because that is how he can make profit ot lose and would not be affected. That is a good delf control practice, gambling once a while.
That is right because if he can quitting gamble while he lost his money, that will prevents him from more losses and the intention to recover of his losses. He know that gambling can make his money drain and that will be bigger if he doesn't stop immediately.
We have our story in gambling so we should have much experience and know what we need to do. Taking a break is the best for us to hold the temptation of gambling so we will not get any problem later.
From the @OP story, it is better he playing gambling occasionally because that can give him lucky to win the games. He will not affect from the gambling effect while he can also enjoy his gambling activity at the same time.
