Bitcoin investment is optional. If a person feels that Bitcoin is not the right asset to invest in then he/she can go ahead to invest in the asset they are comfortable with. Everyone has the right to choose what to invest in but one thing I know shitcoins are terrible to invest in. Anyone thinking of investing in them only wants the little profit they can get now and they don't know the meaning of investment in the first place.
I think we see more new investors who are only concerned about short profits. That is why a lot of them are complaining about the price of Bitcoin when it fluctuation. Practicing buying the dip and holding for long term is easy peazy.
For an asset class, Bitcoin is very beneficial for investment purposes, it is the best asset when it comes to that aspect and though it's the wisest decision any cypto investor would make but then I agree with you that investing on it is optional, there's a saying that you can take a donkey to the stream but can't force it to drink water, the donkey who know the benefits of drinking water would definitely drink without one forcing it to, sake implies to Bitcoin investment, you can teach people about Bitcoin and it's benefits buy can't force them to invest on it. There's a saying that sometimes people just need to make the wrong decisions so they'll take corrections, I've once invested on Shitcoins I felt could be beneficial to me in the near future but I learnt a big lesson when I saw my investment going down not until I learnt about the concepts of Bitcoin investment and using different methods to accumulate it in my portfolio. Well I don't blame most of those people that invest on shitcoins, some are hyped by influential people and make it look so convincing but an experienced investor would not let themselves be decieved by a mere hype no matter how influential the person hyping it is, they'll only focus on Bitcoin which is the most superior Cryptocurrency and best for investment purposes.
