I am anticipating the news on exactly single order X-1's will either receive or do to receive another x-1, according to the Blackarrow Forums on Ecointalk it seems like they are taking suggestions a bit and it isn't a set in stone compensation.
If a single X-1 get's another X-1, I expect my order of 10 X-1 to receive another 10 X-1 also. The compensation must be fair for all orders.
And this is where it's not fair.
Why wouldn't that be fair? If someone orders 1 and gets compensated with 1, someone that orders 10 of the exact same product should also be compensated with 10. Ratios should match or else you deal with a bunch of issues, what happens if you order 3? Do you get compensated with 2? What about 9? Do you get 5? How about even numbers? Huge can of worms if you do not compensate in equal proportions for all orders.
Well that is an issue when they have stated 50%, probably should do 50% and round up to double on odd orders, since this was unexpected and a preorder no one had insider trader and ordered 10 seperate single orders. 10 will still get 5 free units while people who ordered one won't get left out with nothing. Seems pretty decently fair.
I would define fair as equivalent without favoring any order amount. Seems under that scheme if you ordered an even number of units you don't get an equivalent compensation. I would propose even numbered get additional compensation over odd, which can be in the form of free shipping or included psu. There should also be a compensation option available that does not require any additional costs. It's not compensation if customers need to pay more, this is just upselling.
