I think a draw is the most likely outcome, but looking at the odds it doesn't look like the match will end in a draw. If I had to choose, I would bet on Barcelona. I know they rely on young players and their defense can be a bit sloppy at times. But when it comes to scoring goals, it seems Barcelona is still one of the best at the moment. Barcelona will be playing at home, which is an advantage that should give them a win in this match.
I agree with you. I would also go for a draw or Barcelona win. We can't underestimate Munich because they are one of the top teams in Europe and they are in first place in the Bundesliga. But looking at their performance I think Barcelona is a little bit better. Barcelona has a very good attacking line and a midfielder who can create chances. But they have a little problem in defense and this could be a game changer if Kompany can see Barcelona's weaknesses. I would also bet on Barcelona to win this match.
It is still a team in progress under Flic, but I think it is safe to say that they are far more advanced than they have been last season. The one loss they now had in La Liga was rather due to the fact that they had several substitutes playing and they didn't come across as fresh and motivated as they did in most of the other games. I had the feeling that Flick made some mistakes and possibly didn't find the right words as a coach. To me it seemed to have been more of an accident than the beginning of a downtrend.
But if you compare this to Bayern Munich, things are quite different. Lost against Aston Villa and had two draws in a row in the Bundesliga. It were all tough games, but this is no excuse for a team like Bayern Munich to not win three consecutive games. And with this being said, Barcelona is definitely no easier than Leverkusen or Frankfurt or Aston Villa and they play in the Camp Nou.
