"Bankroll" is usually a term used in sports betting. From what I've read in some of the threads here, we need to be disciplined in managing our bankroll, typically betting only 5% to 10% per wager. So I'm curious: do bettors here really set up a bankroll first before they start gambling, or do they just gamble whenever they have available money?
Please share your experience whether positive or negative and what you learn from it.
This is basically the very first thing one should do else you will barely have control over the amount of money that you would risk.
I don't wager more than 10% of my account balance in order to stay protected, I first go with 5% then get to increase it way up to 10% depending on the amount of odd given, also if I have some loses then I may go up a bit lto 10% to try catch a recovery game opportunity.
I won't accept entirely that bankroll is basically used in sport betting alone because at some point you have to arrived at a conclusion of the fact that bankroll is basically applicable to all, because it is only at that point that one can make an attempt to control your gambling urge, this is why you have to set a bankroll at each of the point you set to gamble.
Bankroll is basically a term use to source and control the amount of financial involvement while gambling.
