I don't think Vinicius wants to look superior and that's how he's been playing all this time, even in some moments Vini always seems to be giving passes to Mbappe even though he's in a good position to penetrate. I think it's only a matter of time until the trio finds their chemistry. The only thing that is quite unfortunate is that Mbappe did not have the chance to experience a perfect pass from Toni Kroos, and their midfield is indeed very different after Toni Kroos retired.
Vinicius shows this good attitude in his career but when he becomes a star player, he can change it with higher ego but so far so good. Mbappe is different because he was grown up in PSG where he got super lucrative salary and many privileges in that club. Big power as a star player in PSG destroys Mbappe by increasing his high ego, lifting his selfishness and he is no longer a player who is ready to cooperate with team mates in friendly team-working way.
From PSG to France and recent weeks in Real Madrid, Mbappe did not change this bad attitude that will be negative factor for his career in coming years. He need to change it to achieve more success in his career because having better team-working means he will receive more support from his team-mates.
