I don't see any reason why should get their hope high in gambling, when you are fully aware they you winning is boils down to luck . Which means you can either win or lose . So not getting your expectation high would help in relieving the stress in gambling. And would help one to approach gambling in the right way , because most time alot folks always get their hope high in gambling because they believe they can get rich through gambling fast which may also trigger some sense of gambling addition too.
When we begin to wonder why people use money they cannot afford to lose, borrow, sell their stuffs and do some silly stuffs just to gamble, it is because of high expectations from gambling like this. I know some people will argue that it is good to be optimistic and hopeful, they should also know that they are also hurting their emotions when they set high expectations for themselves and later lose, no one is ever happy to lose. Some gamblers today are in some critical health problems because of high expectations that ruined their lives when they were not met. Gambling involves either a win or loss, some kinds of arrangements and plans can actually wait till the outcome of the game is known.
