It is difficult when we discuss Nunez's current situation. 2 seasons of the Klopp era he could not contribute much and did not even really match the price even though it was not too bad in terms of appearance because it could still score goals but when we compare the ratio of goals scored and opportunities owned then indeed this is a bit lame and this season it seems that Slot does not want to try more on this player because he wants to minimize the risk of the overall performance of the team.

During this season we can even see that there are only a few matches where he played more than 50 minutes in a match, namely when Liverpool faced Bournemouth in the EPL and when they faced Bologna in the Champions League. Indeed, when facing West Ham in the EFL he played full but in this case we know that this is only a form of rotation from Slot to rest some core players for more serious competition, the rest of Nunez does not get too much playing time.

Actually i liked Nunez because he is not selfish player and in the particular matches when he was played nunez is a player who moves freely and he is not lazy although his position as a striker but sometimes Nunez are willing to helps the defense but indeed Nunez is flop compared to when he still playing at Benfica and as a striker people always be judging the player by their goal records and during joining with Liverpool Nunez indeed has important contribution but unfortunately he was unable to in form

Although Arne Slot always be played Diogo Jota as a striker than Nunez but certainly Liverpool still needed Nunez this because Liverpool have to playing with at least 3 different competitions including Champion league so they cannot rely on Jota only for striker position so that's why when Liverpool playing against West Ham at Carabao Cup Arne Slot did a rotation and in my opinion if he want to gets one place on Liverpool starting lineup then Nunez have to prove it by scoring a lot of goals every time he is played
Actually, when talking about mobility, it cannot be denied that Nunez has a very good movement supported by speed which is actually quite good and movement without the ball which is sometimes quite troublesome but in the end when he is at Liverpool and placed as a targetman, of course in the end scoring goals is a task he must carry out and when he cannot do that then he will be considered a failure because of his position as a finisher at Liverpool.

It would be a different story if indeed his position was a little further back such as an attacking midfielder or winger who was assigned to launch the flow of the ball and mess up the opponent's defense maybe this would be a little forgiven when he couldn't score but when he was as a CF at Liverpool then his job was clearly to score goals to provide victory for Liverpool and he in the last 2 seasons has failed to provide the expected expectations even though his performance on the field is not too bad.
