The author writes about the Martingale strategy, but not in its full version, but in a somewhat abridged version. At the same time, he does not mention what to do if, for example, we lose many times in a row. Let's say, 5 or 6 times. If after the third loss we need to return to the initial bets, then here too we may face an unfavorable series of losses. In general, I must say that in practice, losses several dozen times in a row are quite common. In theory, this is a very unlikely event, but in practice it happens unexpectedly often. This has nothing to do with responsible gambling.
These are the types of players that may later be complaining that a casino is manipulating. I do not see this as a way of using reasonable money to gamble. The approach is martingale strategy. A type of strategy that will make the time a gambler will use to gamble be very short and in a way that the short term period of gambling can incur huge losses. I have gone 7 rounds before on 3 gambling sites at different time playing roulette and lost all. This is not happening only in roulette but also in other casino games. House edge in casinos is true and existing. Gamblers will not win in long term, the gambling site will win. But the OP strategy will make the loss faster.

I have experienced that many times. I wanted to recover my losses, even half of it, and it seemed that I was going farther and farther away from my target. So I just stopped and tell to myself that I will stop once I lost a certain amount of money, no matter how tempting it is to continue the game. You need self-control to really prevent you from bankruptcy.
