This is already propaganda... we do it all to protect the players. They don't really care about the players, they want to regulate the market so that they collect as much money as possible from it. In as much as I agreed with you on the aspect of the government always wanting to know the in and out of their citizens, both on a financial and social level, I also see another sense in trying to protect their citizens, based on the statement I will quote below: out of the data they claim to have collected from the survey, it shows that more than 10% of the countries population have lost more than they can afford, and it's extremely affecting their economy.
