I don't think it's a big problem as long as casinos can still freely get the required license and then operate as usual. And then since there are regulations in place, users should expect more benefits like rehabilitation for problem gamblers, a more secure platform, etc. The problem is if the government just bans quality casinos and is in bed with a few platforms to monopolize/create cartels, then it's bad for users.
Instead of working to educate people, to improve the lives of all people... they just impose more control. I really doubt that what they are imposing will save anyone... just as the war on drugs that has been going on for +50 years has done nothing. There's just a lot more drugs... draw your own conclusions.

But if it's done right, maybe it can become like in the US/EU...
