I did
3 sets of 10 day 1
3 sets of 10 day 2
4 sets of 10 day 3
Not going to push hard as my toe is finally getting close healed.
Modded with stairs angle helps both the toe and the hernia.
Hoping to keep on these for quite a while.
For sure if you don't overdo it and find something that is reasonable for you, and also maybe that you can slowly increase with time or maybe just stay at the same amount for a while (while your body is getting used to it), then it becomes easier to keep such activities in your daily routine.
There may be a sense that you might need to increase the quantity per set or the number of sets per day, but there also probably isn't any rush to increase beyond what is feeling reasonable.. and what you are doing already seems to be a reasonable quantity of sets and a reasonable quantity of pushups per set to potentially start to feel stronger (in the pushups arena and perhaps other areas in your life - such as carrying the groceries up the stairs) just from what you are doing, and also hoping that you don't end up getting other injuries.. or sometimes other things come up that make doing the pushups less feasible, like if you were to get sick or something or if some other new distractions were to come into your daily routine.
