You could face harsh reception from some forum members when you ask some sort of dumb questions, but as a new person especially someone fresh to cryptocurrency and Bitcoin you should not be discouraged by these sort of responses but rather focus on those who understand your position as someone new in the market and someone willing to learn. And also as a new person to Bitcoin, your dumb questions will be tolerated at first by some people but if you continue to ask these dumb questions, that is showing no sign of learning or improving in the knowledge that has been given to you, then a lot of people may become hostile to you to an extent and won't want to continue with sharing knowledge to you. So as knowledge is shared to you you have a job and the duty to try as much as possible to understand it and move on to the next position.
