I think there are two reasons why Juventus released Paul Pogba as their main player in the midfield, first because he has had a case like that and second because considering his age is no longer young even though he is still quite productive in terms of his game in the match. So I think Juventus has also made a good move on this because they are very aware of these two things and can still look for other players to fill the midfield when the transfer market opens again.
I just Juventus does not regret their actions when they are having issues in the midfield because looking at the time that Paul Pogba has before coming back to the Juventus team I don't think it will be late for him to rejoin the team and based on his experience I believe he will help to even solidify the midfield of Juventus and help them to get better. I think they released him not because of the case but they are scared of him getting injuries again which is his biggest challenge aside the current doping test and also his age seeing that he's no longer getting younger they would want to get a younger player to cover his position.
During the next transfer market I believe if the sentence of Pogba is over he will get a new contract from a good club and Juventus will definitely look for his replacement.
