I also don't expect Leipzig to hope for their first Champions League win against Liverpool - in fact a Leipzig defeat is what I was hoping for. Liverpool are the favorites in this match who rencently also hold two wins. I hope Liverpool win - but I'm not underestimating Leipzig playing at home.
Unfortunately for Leipzig, this new and far different CL version has been more than negative. At least until now. The game against Liverpool though, I doubt that it will be different for them. The Reds this season look very solid and serious with all their opponents and if they get out from serious injuries, can be a favorite to reach at least the quarter-finals.
With this new format of the champions league, no one is actually hopeless. With a consecutive two wins, the table could change drastically. In the end, even if you cannot win, try and go home with a point . There's opportunity for everyone and I will not undermine Leipzig. German teams are doing extreme well these days, both in their Bundesliga and in the champions league. If Dortmund could get to the finals of the champions league, what's difficult for Leipzig to beat Liverpool. Not so difficult, a mistake can change everything...
