I just looked up what the scheduled Social Security inflationary increase is for retired people in the US for 2025. It's going to be 2.5%... way less then the actual inflationary increase. $Billions to fight wars around the world. $Billions essentially stolen from the American people.
The CPI is 2.4%. That means prices increased by 2.4% over the past year. Although we don't know what it will be on Dec 31, 2.4% is lower than 2.5%.
Anyone with a 401k or Roth that put it all in index funds saw almost 35% growth on their investment over the past year.
And for those still contributing, usually with employer match, the average wage over the past year has increased 6.3%.
