It’s not any more stupid than many of the political threads where people are shilling their preferred candidate in the upcoming US election. Perhaps it should be moved to off-topic to avoid the signature spammers who are increasing their post count with very low quality posts.

There does seem to be a disproportionate amount of lower ranking accounts posting in that thread. Maybe it’s because it has very low standards for post quality or maybe people are farming merits for their alt accounts.

The topic itself does not break any rules and is intended to have fun with a statement from Satoshi that has become a sort of meme. It is fine to have threads that are less serious. I would only go as far as to say that some of the posters in the thread should be considered spammers.
