This is the first time I am hearing such sport in the international competition. Though I have been seen it in gym centres and local competition and not in the international competition. And I have not seen a Nigerian build himself to this level that full with body muscles.
Although I did not watch the championship, I was happy when I saw news of it first from the WhatsApp status of a friend and online that Samson Dauda won 2024 Mr. Olympia contest and he is a Nigerian. A lot of bad things have been said about Nigerians but this is one positive thing that people should highlight.

It shows that if someone is committed, he can achieve any goal that has been set especially in this case of body building where you have to engage in constant resistance exercise just to build, control and develop the muscles and you have to take a particular diet or nutrition. Over time, body building has been dominated by people of other races but he has created history to his race. Kudos to him.

Others might consider this as a sports per se, but still you need to work really hard to sculpt your body to win the Mr. Olympia. Same here I haven't follow the sports that much, so it's very interesting to see that a Nigerian born athlete has won.

And yes, it takes a lot of commitment as I have said and dedication because you really have to grind day in and day out and your nutrition is spot on, you know how much protein you need to take in order to built this kind of body. And probably his genes too has played big in the role of making his body stand out from the rest of the competition.
