Bologna and Girona do not have as big a chance as Leverkusen in the Champions League, because in my opinion Leverkusen is on a different level in terms of quality from the two teams. Leverkusen has clarity in strategy, the point is there is a vision that can be seen when they play on the field. Girona and Bologna only performed well last season and are not necessarily able to do the same. So if you look at the probability, Girona and Bologna will be eliminated from the Champions League competition faster. Tickets in the play-offs are also not a guarantee to be able to go further.
The matches played so far this season is very surprising as some of the result are not what we expected to see from those matches. Bayern Leverkusen are showing a better performance than Bologna and Girona in the champions league and even as a team this season. But there is no certainty of who gets to qualify for the next round or not yet. They both have to showcase some serious talent and quality in every match and any team that gets to do that will have the more chances of making it to the next round. We can’t come to conclusions now, all teams are important and they will rather not make one chose one over the other for now.
Real Madrid has a fantastic track record of scoring goals in the league, and despite some player injuries, they have consistently performed well in the Champions League. I feel Madrid or Manchester City are the top contenders to win the UCL this season. Liverpool is performing well and may win the UCL. They are currently leading the league and have a new coach who is strengthening the team effectively. Let's see what they'll do in the UCL vs Madrid if they meet.
Let this round be over and let’s get to see the teams that will qualify for the next round of the competition before we begin to hail Real Madrid or Manchester City are strong contenders for the league title just yet. The next round will determine more the performance that a team put into the game before the new round, and how they were able to do it and what may await them upfront if they are able to get what they wanted in this round. This two teams may still remain strong contender for the league title but they should be careful as other teams may overtake them or give a better performance than them in the competition.
