Yes, there's possibility that one can be very lucky and have a huge win which they can just use the money for a very important stuff after winning but I guess that such luck is rare. For example, I have a game that I staked on last week Sunday, it's an accumulation of 40 matches which gave me about 1.5k odds and I used $1 to stake on that game which gave a potential win of $65k. About 9 games have already played as predicted and the rest of the 31 games will happen in the coming week. If luck runs perfectly and all that game go as predicted, then I will win a huge amount but it's rare for such luck to happen.
It's true what you said, of course someone who can get a big win in gambling is very rare, even I sometimes see many videos circulating with those who always get big wins, I always think that it's a fake win, even though whether it's true or not I don't care because there's no benefit for me either even though the person who got the win gave a pattern or trick but I doubt it can make me get the same win.
If luck is on my side, I think just by betting once we can get a big win, but because luck is rarely on our side, it's very rare for a big win to happen. Besides that, I think gambling is not a shortcut to poverty, but our own actions lead us to poverty or bankruptcy.
