Ghana has not won a game in three fixtures and are third in their group table. The team captain Mohammed Kudus put an apology out on his Twitter account and says he is sorry for the poor performance of the Ghana Black Stars in the AFCON tournament so far. It’s strange to see this kind of behavior from a player especially a team captain. Do you think Ghanaians will appreciate the sentiment coming from Mohammed Kudus?
I don't think the apology of the Ghanian captain is necessary, for them having a poor performance in their matches was it an intentional act from the players? Sometimes, teams do experience difficult moments where almost everything they do seems to work against them so it is normal in football. However, considering how Ghana has developed so fast among West African countries is expected of them to perform more better in football but even with their influence in African football, they have only won the AFCON four times and the last was in 1982 which is about 42 years ago, quite a very long time. I don't think the apology will mean anything to Ghanians, it's all medicine after death. Had it been the apology was done due to a single match they underperformed it would have been considerate but going 3 games without a single win for a country like Ghana is really unfortunate.
