That thread shouldn't be on that section, that's what I am saying. Do you mind if it's moved to off-topic or will that affect your health?
I think the main point here is that this is your opinion, and not everyone will agree with you. One possible approach would be to simply report the thread to the moderators and let them decide. (Theres always an option to ignore individual threads.)
Your approach, however, involves labeling the thread "the stupidest," accusing participants of merit-hunting, and starting unnecessary drama in the Meta board.
I think the first approach is more productive. But thats just my opinion.
