Cryptos are unfortunately still unavailable on Paypal in Europe, so I don't know how it works actually but if Paypal allows you to make purchases with your Bitcoin balance then it's ideal because you don't even need to exchange your cryptos for fiat and to make withdrawals towards bank accounts, or to buy gift cards with your cryptos in order to make your purchases, you can do that instantly without wondering what will happen with your bank and/or your exchange account.
I am not 100% sure but I think selected EU countries can purchase bitcoin/crypto with their PayPal accounts. The service has other limitations, though. You can't withdraw the BTC from your PayPal account and you can't use if for purchases at supported merchants. Basically, it's just price speculation. You can buy, hold crypto in your account, and then sell it and convert it back into fiat. That's it.
