But you can’t say the same for Brahim Diaz, he’s a good substitute player in Real Madrid, Diaz has not been able to convince the manager that he deserves to be a starter. Lookman and Boniface are both the engines of their respective teams, the squad wouldn’t be the same without them. Real Madrid can easily win games without ever playing Diaz.

Boniface has been at his peak right from the previous season to this current season and was the top scorer for his club at last season and even currently, he's see till the top scorer for his club. Didn't play at the last AFCON due to injury but have returned to the national team and although he's been average in the national team which is what makes lookman a preferable candidate to him, he's still at his peak at Bayern Leverkusen for the season. Lookman on the other hand been both exceptional at the club and In the national team. Was key to Nigerians ability to get to the finals of the AFCON and has remained instrumental in all the games Nigerian super eagles have played afterwards. Stats and all indices would suggest that he's the best suitable for men's player of the year and except the voting system is going to be biased, that's the only way Diaz will win over this two guys.
