It's very basic scam method.

The cryptocurrency scam book.

She needs to cooperate with the authorities regarding on the unfortunate situation happened to her so that they know where to start their investigation then find possible leads to catch those criminal.

To bad for her to rush his decision to do huge transaction without getting enough knowledge. This indicate how dangerous the technology now for adults and maybe there relatives will educate them on those crazy activities happening in internet so that they would be aware on online scams.

For us who know this scheme this is pretty basic, but for those who join late they are the one who's prone to experience such scams like this.
She can cooperate with the authorities, but the chances of her money getting back is close to zero.
TBH, elderly people are as gullible as the newbies out there. I mean they can get attracted to something that easy especially when it's related to money.

This method of scamming innocent investors is very old-school, but it still works because there are still people out there that are holding huge amounts of money despite not having enough knowledge that would help them not getting scammed. This is why I always say "Learning sometimes is very expensive" because before you will learn something with regards to how scammers are scamming people, you will lose thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Many already have said that "deepfake" is very dangerous because anybody can just copy famous stars and use their face to scam people like what happened on this one.

The internet sure is a crazy place, and elders like her are prey for these predators. Right now, there's nothing that he can do now, but to learn from this one. This is disheartening indeed, but I hope that the elder will move on and move forward on this incident. Prayers for her...
