Sad to see this old thread nearly dead.

I sustain it was (nearly) killed more by the anti-maxi hoard than by anything wrong with Monero.

Bottom line though has not yet changed.  Bitcoin is evolving to be the thing Satoshi meant for it to be.

Monero still points the way in areas Bitcoin has fallen short.

Both will exist for some time.

Eventually?  Tech built on Bitcoin could rival Monero's privacy advantage?
