As I grow older, I’ve come to realize that personal effort often pales in comparison to the power of existing social systems. Poverty isn’t just about the lack of financial resources—what’s even more disheartening is that discussions about poverty are usually led by those who have never experienced it themselves.
It is possible to break out and move up in life, but you have to remember that you are surrounded by millions of other people who are all trying to do the same thing. That means you need to be especially shrewd and make your finances stretch as far as possible. However you should definitely find a balance in life because money is not everything, explore the world and keep healthy because these two things will open your mind up much more than you might expect. Having an open mind can be key to learning and grasping different earning opportunities that might pop up at any point in your life - you have to be ready to identify them, then jump right in while the opportunity is there.
We must also be aware of the conditions in which we develop, studies are showing that the rich are getting a larger share of the money, while the poor are getting less each year, then we can conclude that social mobility is becoming harder and anyone that wants to improve their situation will have to do an even better job just to have any chance to succeed, however this is very hard and many young people are getting discouraged by the difficult conditions and they are not even trying anymore.
