Looking at the market is not a bad or wrong idea. How can an investor buy Bitcoin without looking at the market? Looking at the market is not a bad thing for an investor but for a long term investor I don't think too much market review is a good idea. Short term or a trader is different, their main job is to review the market. But more market analysis of a trader and a long-term investor results in two types of factors. When a trader reviews the market, his skills increase and he gets a better understanding of market movements.
But I don't think a long-term investor needs to look at the market more than once or twice a day. Or even if he looks at the market three or four times a week to be aware of Bitcoin's position. But when you get too preoccupied with the price of Bitcoin, your goals can sink, which can prevent you from being consistent with your investments. I want to ask, since you are doing DCA or holding for long term and you have to buy series after a certain period of time no matter what the price, then why you focus on the market or review the market again and again? I'm not banning you from market reviews. You can review the market independently, but if you are a DCA investor I would suggest not to look too much and focus on buying.
Since our major discussion has been how to accumulate Bitcoin with the most efficient method which is DCA method, whats the need of looking at the market price, to me, I don't think that's necessary hence DCA method allows us to buy with the amount we are capable of anytime gradually, steadily not minding the price and hodl for a long-term, buddy if you support the idea of an investor looking at the market price or waiting for the price that suits his curiosity before buying or investing in Bitcoin then you're not following up with the DCA method.
I want you to understand that market reviews are mainly the activities of short timers and that's not what Bitcoin investment stands for, it has been a song here that Bitcoin is a long-term investment and should be treated as one, though it doesn't matter how you get to your destination but why many bitcoiners frown at market survey because it can be very discouraging and since DCA method is their to help every interested investor out on going in with what they can afford and maintain consistently, there is no need for embarking on a mission that can lead you to making silly decisions and thereby hurting your chances of continuing your investment plan.
Note what matters in Bitcoin investment is how frequent you are in pursuing your goals, your current accumulation level doesn't matter hence you will be able to increase your accumulation level once your income increases in other for you to achieve a bulky portfolio overtime, I think what we all need is perseverance and consistency to remain relevant in the system.
You mentioned traders when you already know that those are short term activity that are often referred to gamblers, why would an investor bother himself about market analysis though that's personal and I chose not to talk about it now.
Most of your point contradicts your earlier stand and I think it will be better for you to put your points straight because you never can tell who is glancing through your writing and would want to learn but get confused at the end of it all.
