So, here putting out the same question, what will make you quit gambling forever? A win or a loss, or both?
both but it highly depends on the situation, I mean, people have different views when it comes to gambling, some see it as a way to earn money some see it as a way to have entertainment, I for one, see gambling as a way to entertain my self but I still do want to win, anyway, I don't think I'll quit gambling permanently just because I won a lot of money from it, I know to myself that I can stop if I want to and as for losing, I only gamble what I can afford to lose and if in some way I just started gambling money I can't afford to lose and I realize it, I'd know that it would better to stop/quit gambling so I could spare myself from a lot of trouble if I don't stop.
If you're gambling responsibly then there's really no reason to permanently quit from it, you can take breaks periodically then come back again. People have different reasons for gambling, if the reason is related to irresponsible gambling, then the gambler can consider quitting. Irresponsible gambling habits that can lead to addiction like chasing loses or being overconfident to over gamble leads to addiction. If you don't have the discipline to control your gambling habits, then quitting will be the best option. But if you're gambling responsibly with amount that you can afford to loose, then you can gamble for as long as you like because you're in control.
