I’ll admit, I didn’t appreciate these protocols at first, especially when you’re running a top 14 Lightning node with over 150 channels. All those force closures definitely cost me some sats, especially with the mempool being so congested. But after getting to know the community and learning more about it, my perspective changed drastically. I’ve been holding Bitcoin, and only Bitcoin, since 2013, and the idea of having fungible tokens on Bitcoin has really grown on me. If people were skeptical about Bitcoin before, now is the perfect time to jump on the mother chain and enjoy the ride. Honestly, it’s brought back the same excitement I felt 11 years ago when I was mining with 20+ Th/s!
