I will buy shares of Microsoft so I can vote yes to the bitcoin proposal. I suggest every bitcoiner do the same if possible and even better if you already own shares of the company. One share of common stock is equal to one vote so you don't have to own a lot of shares to be elgible to vote but I don't know how long you have to be a shareholder if the vote is being held in less than two months on December 10.
Microsoft Board Asks Shareholders to Vote Against Investing in Bitcoin: SEC Filing
https://decrypt.co/288185/microsoft-asks-shareholders-vote-against-investing-bitcoin-sec-filing?amp=1I think the chances of approval are not very high but you never know. Of course it would be beyond massive for bitcoin if they voted yes.
The big shareholders are the ones, who will decide the outcome of the vote. Buying 100 shares, so you could have 100 votes won't change anything. Also, buying Microsoft shares, just because you want to vote on such proposal seems stupid to me. You should by Microsoft stocks, if you are convinced in the long term growth of the stock price and the potential dividends, that the company might pay off to the shareholders. I don't believe that Microsoft would ever become a crypto friendly company, even if the majority of the shareholders want this.
