I got the idea from suchmoon's thread where you used to post.
Well, that thread is not so active now but I expect it to become more active with the election approaching and I tend to post a lot in the two on elections in the Gambling Discussion section and another one on P&S, so I think it was a good idea.
Maybe there's a sort of manipulation happening in media? Because anywhere I go I read up that majority of people is rooting for Trump to win.
Every major media outlet in the USA except Fox is Kamala-friendly (or Trump-hating, if you prefer).
It’s possible for anyone to control the media, but not bookies. They need to provide odds that reflect the real chances of the candidates; otherwise, they’d lose a lot if many people are gonna be backing Trump to win. I noticed at one point that Kamala was the favorite, but with all the huge money coming in for Trump, they had to adjust the lines, which is why Trump is now seen as the heavy favorite to win.
The bookies are not 100% reliable either. I think we can rely on the trend that has been, and that is that Kamala has made a bad campaign and Trump a very good one, so Trump will have won votes and Kamala lost but we can not know if that will be enough for Trump to win. And in the case of the bookies what they show is that there are more people betting for Trump but the profile of people betting is not representative of the whole electorate.
