Hi Upgrade, I realize that, this is why I introduced myself again and happy to do that. How do I go about signing a crypto message? My main ETH wallet has been active for many years. I'm happy to answer any questions to legitimize myself with the community. I appreciate you raising this concern and engaging with my post!
Do you have MetaMask? If you do, you can import your ETH wallet into it and use
etherscan.io's signature verification system to sign your message.
Just do the following:
1. Go to:
https://etherscan.io/verifiedsignatures. You will see two options, "Verify Message" and "Sign Message".
2. Click on the "Sign Message" button.
3. Select "MetaMask" from the popup (you can also use other extensions with Wallet Connect or Coinbase Wallet, but MetaMask is convenient, IMO).
4. It will open MetaMask. You will need to choose the address you want to sign the message with. Select that and click "Confirm". Approve it.
5. On the next screen, your address will be filled in, and you will need to write the message that you want to sign with the address. Add your message and click on "Sign Message".
6. It will ask for confirmation again in the MetaMask extension. Confirm the transaction and your message is signed successfully.
7. Copy the hash and post it here for us to verify.
Remember, the address that you use to sign the message must be an address that you have posted somewhere in the forum previously which will be the proof of your ownership of this account. And, make sure you include your bitcointalk username in the message.
