There are United faithfuls who still believe Erik ten Hag is a good coach, and that the rumors of him having internal issues with his players were fabricated by the English media. Even though Ten Hag’s tenure as Manchester United's head coach is now over, I am puzzled by how many United fans think that Ten Hag did not receive the recognition he deserved, according to them Ten Hag was one of the club’s most successful managers in the post-Ferguson era.
Eric Ten Hag will still be a good coach to many players and also to his loyalists no matter how they paint him black in the English media. He’s a very talented coach and has actually contributed his part to the club, it was just that it wasn’t good enough and the team wanted more which he was unable to give. To have won two trophies in two seasons he has spent in the club is a commendable effort and I will duly acknowledge on that basis.
When talking about his overall career then there will certainly be some who say that Ten Hag is a very good coach but when talking about his career at Manchester United then in the end I think only people will not accept the fact that he is a failed coach at Manchester United. Although in the end there were 2 trophies that he gave but for the overall performance, especially for big commissions such as the EPL and Europa League that he did, everyone must have seen that Manchester United with Ten Hag as its coach was just like an ordinary club without anything special to show.
Currently, Manchester United's decision is still considered quite right because being forced with Ten Hag will ultimately not help anything because they will only remain the same so rather than being stuck in place, it is clearly better for them to decide to find a new coach even though the risk of decline is still very much there.
Ten Hag is a good coach but not for the EPL because in the end he doesn't seem to fit the big competition of the EPL which makes his career tarnished.
