y even give rewards or merch to those people in the communities. Makes me wonder how you even qualify to be a holder, how much of the token do you even need to be in this special community lol
You are really a newbie to this; every token and project that relates to cryptocurrency has their own community, like a chat group, and they prefer Telegram and Discord, and this is where they interact with their community. You did not mention the name of the token or project, but yes, you have to abide by their rules and requirements before you can receive their token. This has been industry practice to strengthen their community.
Am I the only one that just learnt about this?
If you're an investor you will be invited to the token group you've invested so you will access and update on the development of their token.
