It's quite surprising how the government did legalizing Bitcoin, but their banks are blocking crypto related source https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-bill-introduced-in-parliament-to-clarify-cryptos-legal-status

Problem is - if you pass kyc with coinbase, kraken etc, you still cant buy, due to the UK banks blocking payments to there accounts.
