You are wrong my friend, it will affect them, the higher the tax, the higher the discouragement, this is normal economics everywhere in the world.
But it won’t completely stop gamblers. There are actually countries where gambling is banned some gamblers still find ways to keep betting. I think , when gambling is part of the culture (as it is in some countries), it’s tough to break that cycle. The most a government can do is try to discourage it, but how effective is that really? They might just be pushing tax revenue away. With the popularity of online casinos, no matter what kind of restrictions are in place, there’s always a way for someone resourceful enough to gamble.
We do know that in todays technology then it would really be that so hard to stop someone to play gambling. Even if its banned on a certain country but still there's no way that it would really be stopped
if you are really that wanting on playing gambling. We can access gambling sites using up VPN and cant be traced up and with the help of crypto then we would really be able to play without being known
not only on the time or moment that you do comply with some KYC. It will really be that just better that you do really have still that control and moderation despite of having that bypass on playing gambling.
Banning out 2000+ gambling sites does really shows that neither the government is trying to make those illegal to be legal ones via having licenses or simply they wont really be allowing any sites to operate into their vicinity because of possible gambling addiction rate potential problem on which we dont really know on whats the story behind.

It would really be up to someone whether they would be still having that moderation into their gambling activity or not. Banning wont really be completely be able to stop if someone is really that wanting or eager
to play gambling.
