Van nesterool doesn't look bad after all, so far he's showing some gradual improvements or maybe could it be he's better with relating to the players than his former superior, the results Manchester United is getting recently speaks loud of improvement and they have also shown same with their performance too, today's results wasn't a bad one but they need to improve with their defense and make sure not to slack too early after their first goals
I don't think there was anything wrong with Manchester United's defense today, but they just failed to properly anticipate Caicedo's kick which came from a loose ball. Goals with this scheme are very difficult for any team to anticipate, even if they have good defenders. Manchester United just needs to increase their goal productivity and not waste many opportunities, that is the problem in this match in my opinion.
Even though this was Ruud van Nistelrooy's first match in the Premier League with Manchester United, he really brought great enthusiasm to the squad. I have never seen Manchester United as enthusiastic as today when they were coached by Ten Hag, so there is an improvement in the mentality of the squad which should be appreciated.
Manchester United continued to play well in defense and while there was little expectation of looses balls, this led to the opponent scoring goals. Such things are of course never easy to foresee with any side, however by being more concerted and ruthless in front of goal, one has to expect that they will be able to come through similar tests in the future. Most importantly, this team has a solid back line and now it is the time to make more and more goals in each game.
The signing of Ruud van Nistelrooy compelled new and high spirit amongst Manchester United players. Even here we can see players’ enthusiasm as if there is a new energy that takes them to the right mentality. This is very inspiring, for not only has the quality of the game rose, but the team work that appears to be more firm and unified under him.
